Editorial and Corrections Policy
This policy explains who is responsible for FitFuel Tools, how health claims are sourced, and what our current review process does—and does not—cover.
Who creates the content
The FitFuel Tools Editorial Team develops the product and maintains its calculator explanations. The team is not presented as a medical provider. We do not claim clinical review unless a qualified reviewer has actually reviewed the specific page.
How sources are selected
We prioritise original research papers, systematic reviews, recognised public-health bodies, and professional guidance. Secondary sources may help explain a topic but should not be the sole basis for a health formula.
Calculator standards
Important calculators must identify their formula, required units, assumptions, population-level limitations, and situations where professional advice is more appropriate.
Updates and corrections
Material formula or guidance changes are recorded in the page copy or methodology. Confirmed calculation defects are prioritised over new features. Corrections can be reported to hello@fitfueltools.com.
Independence
Advertising or commercial relationships must not determine calculator outputs, health conclusions, or editorial recommendations. Sponsored material will be clearly labelled if introduced.
Use of automation
Software may assist with drafting, formatting, testing, and data processing. Published claims remain subject to source checking and human responsibility. Automated output is not presented as professional medical judgement.
Current review status
FitFuel Tools has not yet completed independent clinical review across the site. Pages will only display a named medical or nutrition reviewer after that person has reviewed the relevant content.
